Does every application come with a cover letter?
No. A letter is added to an application when you ask for one. Plenty of applications never need one, and those never get one.
Do I have to write the motivation note?
No. It is optional, and one honest sentence is plenty. Without it, the letter connects your experience to the role's requirements and skips personal motivation rather than faking it.
Can the letter mention things that are not on the resume?
It is written from the finished resume, the posting, the direction you saved for letters, and your note for this application. A fact that appears in none of those is not available to it, and the check reads the draft against your record before you see it.
How long is the letter?
